In the interest of our patients’ and staff’s safety, we ask all patients to fill out the following COVID – 19 screening questionnaire one week prior to their appointment.
Dear Patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last year, and we are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same – our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice as you have seen during past visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. Our office follows the most up to date infection control guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies to remain current on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
Moving forward, we want to share the additional infection control procedures we will follow in our practice due to the outbreak of COVID – 19 to ensure the continued safety for our patients and staff.
We have newly installed chairside aerosol extracting machines with a HEPA filtration system, working to kill viruses and germs as small as 0.3 microns with 99.95% efficacy. In addition, it has a medical grade UV light disinfection system to kill all the virus and germs in the filter.
Our kavo Dental hand-pieces with a built in anti-retraction valve prevents the backflow of potentially contaminated water into the tubing, providing added infection control during procedures.
Our office staff members are vaccinated and are prepared and have the appropriate personal protective equipment to safely care for you during your visits.
In order to ensure the protection of our patients and staff, we have made modifications to how we will run our appointments.
Before your appointment, our office will communicate with you with a few screening questions. Upon your arrival, these same questions will be asked again and your temperature will be taken with a contact free thermometer to ensure nothing has changed since the phone conversation.
We request that you wear a facemask covering to the office. You may be asked to wear one during your visit, as well.
The doors into the office and into the treatment rooms will remain open with door stoppers to reduce points of contact.
We will also ask you to use the hand sanitizer when you enter and exit the office. There will be additional hand sanitizers for you in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
We will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth in the waiting room to prevent further means of indirect contact and needed disinfection.
To allow for social distancing between patients, appointments will be strictly managed. This could mean fewer options for scheduling your next appointment. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you and reduce the number of patients in the reception area at a time.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
To make an appointment, please call our office at (3301) 869 7733 or visit our website at www.caresoftdental.com
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
Sincerely,
Dr. Daney and the staff of Caresoft Dental
